EdFlexOregon operates in strict accordance with federal and Oregon state laws regarding student data, including:

We collect only the minimum amount of information necessary to provide a high-quality virtual education:
  • Student Information: Name, grade level, school of residence, and educational records.
  • Parent/Guardian Information: Contact details including email, phone number, and mailing address.
  • Usage Data: Log-in timestamps, course progress, and interaction within our Learning Management System (LMS) to track academic engagement.
  • Technical Data: IP addresses and device information to ensure platform security and troubleshooting.
 
3. How We Use Your Data
Data collected by EdFlexOregon is used exclusively for "K-12 School Purposes," such as:
  • Facilitating online instruction and grading.
  • Communicating school updates and academic progress.
  • Providing technical support and improving our digital curriculum.
  • Meeting state reporting requirements for the Oregon Department of Education.
Our Promise: EdFlexOregon does not sell student data. We do not use student information for targeted advertising or to create profiles for commercial purposes.
 
4. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We only share information with third-party service providers (such as our LMS or digital textbook providers) who are contractually obligated to maintain the same high standards of data privacy as EdFlexOregon. These providers are prohibited from using student data for any purpose other than providing the agreed-upon educational service.

  • Access Controls: Access to student records is restricted to authorized school personnel with a legitimate educational interest.

  • Request Corrections to inaccurate or misleading information.
  • Withdraw Consent for the use of certain digital tools (though this may impact the ability to participate in virtual learning).
